Virtual Tourism

Virtual tourism is a simulation of an existing location, usually composed of a sequence of videos or still images. Briefly it's travelling without actually going anywhere. It may also include sound effects, music, narration and text. For example televisions, headphones and still cameras are generally used devices. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_tour)

Advantages:

-Even the disabled can experience easilly all kinds of places and tourist attractions.
-Virtual tourism is cheaper than actual travelling
-It is more ecolocigal because transport is not needed
-Virtual tourism is not so time consuming
-The "vacation" is easier to relive over and over again
-Customers can get a preview of the possible location

Disadvantages:

-Customer does not get the real experiences and benefits
-It doesn't have a refreshing effect
-Senses like smell and touch doesn't get stimulation
-Interacting with people is not possible or it is limited
-The customer is not able move much and can't jump for example
-It's not possible to sleep and stay overnight

We don't think that virtual tourism will replace actual travelling, because people seek real-life experiences and a way to escape their everyday life. In real vacation the client feels everything physically and gets real memories. We would try it just to test it and see what it's really like. If we want to go to a trip we would actually go and travel. Virtual tourism is still a good way to get some kind of feeling of travelling if it's not possible in real life.
